Artist's Comments

HUGE!file is HUGE. You were warned.

From top to bottom, left to right:

1) Apple P. from Lolly Witch. Still don't really like her character design.
2) Sketchy but colored avvi art from Gaia Online.
3) A dog. I don't draw them very much, so I like it.
4) Rove and Lolly. Why so emo guys?
5) Dress designs. Top--inspired by a winter coat; Lower--inspired by dresses at a street fair in Salzburg, Austria.
6) Espeon, lol whut?
7) Umm... It's Nessie! ...I doodle weird shit.
8) I like the idea of feathered serpents.
9) Um, I'd ride it.
10) Me, as a Soldier Heartless. They are the cutest, period.
11) Lithuania and Poland, from Hetalia. I can't draw Hetalia style and I've given up on trying.
12) Inktomi Oneiro. I told you I doodle him a lot.
13) A wing. I draw SOOOOO many of these.
14) One of my FAVORITE Lolly doodles. Will ink and color one day.
15) Quentin Compson (left) and Shrevlin McCannon (up), the sorta-protagonists of William Faulkner's Absalom, Absalom! Yes, I did just manga-ify classic literature. Do NOT look at me like that.

Huzzah for reinterpreting classic literature!

I love sketch dumps. Perhaps a little too much. Finished pieces are wonderful, and I love them too, but there's something especially brilliant about a collection of sketches.

I don't know if I'd call it reinterpreting--Faulkner was a Japanophile... he'd probably have partnered with a manga-artist already if he wasn't, yah know... dead.

I like sketch dumps too--something feels very "real" about them, like you're getting to see the artist at their most basic, no fancy computer tricks.

Mm, being dead does present a problem to the face of collaborations.

Ah, sketches... I absolutely love the sketches of Leonardo, and Christensen, and those of my professors. It's just so fantastic! They do say, after all, that one does not learn how to draw a tree just by looking at a tree, but rather by looking at how others depict trees.

...I'm going off to study your trees now.

Haaa, thanks... that's an incredible compliment, and totally not what I was driving at. ^_^ I'd love to see a tree from you, though.

Maybe I should start a giant collaboration to build a forest...

A tree from me... looks like a ruler with cotton balls stuck on it.

I am FAIL at drawing trees.

...that looks really cool in my head. Maybe you should describe a tree and we'll add that to the compendium.
